project findings and the dissemination of project results.

In
addition to our annual and technical project reports, Women’s
Health Australia produces reports disseminating findings on
particular topics.

These reports were produced in 2005 to synthesise the findings
of the project for the first 10 years.

In 2003 and 2004, reports were produced which synthesised
project findings in key areas of women’s health: Ageing,
Rural Health, Chronic Disease, Physical
Activity, Mental Health and Violence against
Women. Reports on Work and Ageing and Alcohol
Consumption are currently in preparation. Summary brochures
of these syntheses have also been produced.

These Women's Health Australia reports cover a range
of topics. They include methodological issues relating to
the conduct of a longitudinal project, as well as reports
on particular health issues.
Published
report February 2005:
The
Australian Women and Alcohol Consumption 1996 – 2003
report
Research
has found that women who never drink alcohol are in poorer
health than those who have up to two drinks a day. However
drinking three or more drinks a day tips the health scales
the other way.
These
findings were published recently in a report prepared by Anne
Young and Jennifer Powers for the Australian Government Department
of Health and Ageing. To view a copy of the report please

Every year Women's Health Australia produces a newsletter for
the women who are taking part in the study. The newsletter describes
current events at Women's Health Australia and features recent
findings from the project which we think may be of particular
interest to participants.
